SUMMARY:InfraGard National Disaster Resilience Council (NDRC) 2023 Hybrid Summit
DESCRIPTION:InfraGard National Disaster Resilience Council (NDRC) 2023 Hybrid Summit\nTheme: Solutions Now for Infrastructure Resilience \n  \nJoin us as we present on Advanced Air Mobility Resilience.\nThis session explores Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) with a focus on its resilience use cases. AAM represents the next frontier in transportation\, where electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and drones play a pivotal role in revolutionizing mobility and logistics. We will explore how AAM technologies are not only enhancing efficiency but also fostering resilience in various domains\, including disaster response\, healthcare\, and transportation. Information showcases how AAM is shaping a more resilient and sustainable future. \n  \nAbout the event:\nNow more than ever\, we must be prepared for adversarial attacks and destructive natural events causing long-term outages of America’s critical infrastructure. Please join us for the annual NDRC Summit\, featuring a powerhouse speaker lineup from government and private industry\, impactful presentations\, thought-provoking panel discussions\, timely updates\, and more. \nThroughout two full days\, our experts will provide attendees with knowledge\, insight and resources relating to the five hottest topics in infrastructure resilience today: cyber threats; Department of Defense key enablers; operational continuity; research and development updates; and the all-important critical human infrastructure. \nThe National Disaster Resilience Council is a Cross-Sector Council of InfraGard National Members Alliance\, an FBI-affiliated independent nonprofit dedicated to protecting U.S. critical infrastructure and the American people. Our mission is to inform communities regarding various threats to our infrastructure – specifically\, how to mitigate the high-impact threat of long-term power and communications failures that could lead to catastrophic\, cascading losses of life-sustaining infrastructures – and resources for recovery. \n  \nHosted by the University of Texas at San Antonio’s National Security Collaboration Center (NSCC) Co-hosted by Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)\nRegistration is live for the in-person\, or virtual attendance: Click Here.

SUMMARY:NCHRP Security and Emergency Manager Peer Exchange
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we run the NCHRP Security and Emergency Manager Peer Exchange\nFor 2023\, the Transportation Emergency Management and Security Summit & Exchange is an opportunity for state DOT practitioners\, federal agency partners\, academia\, and those in the private sector to share advances in this field\, best practices\, and lessons learned. A summary report will be published afterwards to capture lessons learned and best practices shared during the summit and exchange. \nRegistration is Open! Link\nBACKGROUND\nIn October 2018\, TRB\, NCHRP\, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)\, and American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) held the Resilient Innovations Summit and Exchange (RISE) in Denver\, Colorado. Attendees at RISE included senior-level state department of transportation (DOT) representatives including CEOs and deputy directors\, academia\, private sector\, FHWA\, TRB\, AASHTO\, and other federal agency representatives. The goal of the RISE conference was to provide an opportunity for key stakeholders to meet and discuss a range of resilience issues encompassing man-made and natural disasters. A report summarizing the outcomes of the conference was developed to communicate the topics addressed during RISE and set a framework for state DOTs as they worked to improve transportation system resilience within their agencies. \nMuch has changed since 2018. There is a need to hold another summit to support state DOT emergency management and security managers.

SUMMARY:National Directors Roundtable Conference
DESCRIPTION:Join Chelsea at CU Conferencesʼ National Directors Roundtable Conference!\nShe’ll be presenting at the following sessions: \nA Skills Matrix for Your Credit Union\nA skills matrix is a valuable map capturing skills and levels of proficiency within your credit union. Directors can use a skills matrix to better direct the credit union based on existing competencies. For example\, recommendations from management for a new hire are easily understood or denied based on existing personnel. Directors can also use a skills matrix to help facilitate project completion. Teams are assembled\, categorized by competencies\, then aligned with individuals. This session introduces a skills matrix. Directors will learn how a skills matrix is constructed and understand how it can empower today’s and tomorrow’s workforce. \nCalling All Fraud Fighters!\nSteven Spielberg’s 2002 film featured Frank Abagnale\, Jr.\, and his mastery of deception. Unfortunately\, bad guys such as Frank continually work 24/7 to identify and exploit opportunities for malicious acts. Models\, such as Donald R. Cressey’s model called the Fraud Triangle\, outline conditions leading to higher instances of fraud. \nJob descriptions highlight responsibilities associated with fraud. How do these conceptual findings relate to our credit unions? What are we doing to prepare for all phases of fraud\, from awareness to response and recovery? This session connects concepts to procedures and resources to help you navigate the complexities of fraud. \nWe look forward to seeing you there! Click here to Register

SUMMARY:Credit Union Spring Training Conference - Arizona
DESCRIPTION:Join Chelsea at CU Conferencesʼ annual Credit Union Spring Training Conference!\nShe’ll be presenting at the following sessions: \nYour Credit Union in 2035\nAdvancements such as distributed ledger technology (DLT)\, digitization\, and hybrid workplaces are shaping the future of the financial sector. Modernization brings legacy systems – including people\, processes\, and technology\, to the current state and positions them for future success. Understand how your credit union will arrange for a more efficient and resourceful future\, with people at the center using technology to its full potential. \nVirtually Virtual – A Guide to Effective Intranets\nIntranets are secure\, private networks to share information and resources in your credit union. Multiple words in this description are assumptions. For example\, are all intranets “secure?” Does “your” credit union include intranet access for employees and members? Baseline assumptions require answers for an effective intranet at your credit union. This session introduces intranet assumptions\, facilitates decision-making\, and equips you with an action plan. \nCatch Me If You Can!\nSteven Spielberg’s 2002 film featured Frank Abagnale\, Jr.\, and his mastery of deception.

SUMMARY:NEOFIX Stakeholder Engagement
DESCRIPTION:Northeast Ohio Flight Information Exchange (NEOFIX) Stakeholder Engagement\nNEOFIX allows Cuyahoga County to publish key information to Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) Operators and Industry in support of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM)\, giving everyone a clear\, common picture in the same way that charts do for traditional aviation. NEOFIX fills the gap between FAA information services for controlled airspace and needed services supporting local UAS / AAM operations\, including local rules\, sensors\, public safety incidents\, and flight operations data. \nThe inaugural stakeholder exchange at Baldwin Wallace University is sold out. We look forward to successful outcomes from this event. This is the first of many! \nWant to get involved? Shoot us a note!
